Time Lapse Video of building Life-Size Fort Mustang for Legoland Florida

What a fun job this would be!

This replica of a 1964 Mustang was built to go on display at Legoland in Florida in the Fall.

Details

  • 1,200 hours to make
  • 194,900 Lego and Duplo Bricks
  • 15 Feet Long, 4feet tall and nearly 6 feet wide
  • Weighs 1712
  • Working headlights, tail lights and sound effect
It doesn't indicate how many people it took to make, but from the time-lapse video, it looks like around a dozen at any given time.

I hope that after it finishes it run at Legoland they put it on tour to go to Science Museums as it would be a great way inspire children to learn math and computers and it would have taken quite a bit of both to plan this out,
