SPACE: NASA Launched 2.4 Billion Mission To Mars Yesterday

Yesterday at 7:50AM EST, NASA launched a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket on a mission to Mars.  It was launched from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida from Space Launch Complex 41.

What I think is cool is the 4lb $80 million dollar helicopter drone that will take photos from the landscape.  It will be the first aircraft to fly on another planet.

The rocket also carries the Perseverence rover that will collect samples to look for ancient life on the red planet.

The rocket is expected to reach Mars in February of 2021.

Interesting Find: 350lb 50 Year Old Grouper Caught off the Coast of Florida

350lb pound Grouper caught off the coast of Florida with just a hook and a line.  

Biologist's at FWC Fish and Wildlife Research Institute that tested it believe it is 50 years old and is the oldest specimen in their collection.

USA Today  article has additional information and also stated another thing the fisherman is catching is flack for killing the fish instead of returning it to the sea.  It does seem sad that it would live to such a ripe old age, but it is an interesting find.

This replica of a 1964 Mustang was built to go on display at Legoland in Florida in the Fall.

It doesn't indicate how many people it took to make, but from the time-lapse video, it looks like around a dozen at any given time.  

I hope that after it finishes it run at Legoland they put it on tour to go to Science Museums as it would be a great way inspire children to learn math and computers and it would have taken quite a bit of both to plan this out,
