60's Looking Upscale Bathroom

Photo: Source

It looks like somebody really loves Sea Foam green carpet.  It looks like it is some sort of "love" nest with the raised bed with the mirror on the ceiling and serving up some severe vintage kitsch.

This was posted by a friend of a friend along with other things that realtors have come across when selling homes.

The comments on the post seem to run the gamut:

"This room has me written all over it"
"Looks like a room in Vegas."
"Almost looks like water vs. carpet"
"Hotel California"
"How to break you neck within 10 seconds of waking up"
"I don't hate this.  It looks tranquil"
I think it needs something...More green"
"How does the Roomba deal with this?"
"More than one porn was filmed in this room"
"The only thing missing is Liberace and his piano."
"Mother of God.  Is this where the magic is?"
"I don't hate this a much as I probably should."
"Shagadelic Babeee!"   (I though "Austin Powers" too when I first saw it.)
"This is a former pimps place,  I am sure of it"
"Is this in Richland?  I think I worked there when I worked for Merry Maids."
" It reminds me of Room 237 in The Shining"
 "Mold.  Mold everywhere."
And this is just a few over the 2,000 comments on the post.

I would say this is unique and one of a kind, but from one of the Commentors indicated, I would be wrong:

I lived in a house as a kid where my parents bedroom/master bath was very similar to this. The tub, sinks, and toilet were lime green, carpeted up to the lime green jetted tub(jets didn't work), toilet was in it own arch with a wall to floor mirror behind it, telephone to your right (phones all throughout the house, you could call each room or make outside calls). Carpeted all the way to the toilet. Oh, the carpet was white. There's much more."
and..
"My grandparents had a house with a jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom, then a separate bathroom with shower. Never took a bath in it, but I liked the mirrors on 3 sides."
and...
I have a friend who's bathroom is in her bedroom and I swear her toilet is upon a throne! ALL IN PINK! MIRROR ON THE CEILING! AND SHES 78! Come on hippies!"
What do you think of this room?
