INTERESTING OBSERVATION: ALUMINUM FOIL IS LIKE REVERSE CATNIP

Screenshot from video below

I am not sure if this is a better method than a spray bottle, which my Mom used to use, to keep a cat off the countertop because poor kitty jumped at least a foot in the air once claws met the aluminum foil.

Proud of His Work or Posing for a Tinder Profile?

Source

The Epoch Times reported the cargo ship Ever Given in the Sues Canal in Eygpt that went sideways and blocked the canal since March 23rd

"Shipping was on the move again late on Monday in Egypt’s Suez Canal after a giant container ship which had been blocking the busy waterway for almost a week was refloated, with more than 400 ships waiting to pass through."

It also stated:

"The company said approximately 30,000 cubic meters of sand had been dredged to refloat the 224,000-ton container ship and a total of 11 tugs and two powerful sea tugs were used to pull the ship free."

Apparently, the guy above was one of the engineers that were involved in freeing the ship.

Even so, I am not sure if he is proud of his work or posing for a Tinder (a current popular dating app).  profile.  Perhaps it is both.

UNIQUE PLACES: FLATIRON BUILDING IN NEW YORK - 1917 & 2012

from r/OldPhotosInRealLife
This iconic building that has been featured in many television shows and movies over the years is over 100 years.  Although the modes of transportation have changed over the years the building still looks the same.

From Wikipedia:

"Once construction of the building began, it proceeded at a very fast pace. The steel was so meticulously pre-cut that the frame went up at the rate of a floor each week. By February 1902 the frame was complete, and by mid-May the building was half-covered by terra-cotta tiling. The building was completed in June 1902, after a year of construction.[8]".

HAPPY 90TH BIRTHDAY WILLIAM SHATNER

Getty Images

William Shatner, best known for his role as Captain Kirk in the original "Star Trek" but went on to other TV and movie roles, turns 90 today.

The New York Post reported:

"Right now, he’s promoting his new comedy film called “Senior Moment,” out Friday, in which he plays Victor, a Palm Springs, California, hotshot who defiantly refuses to show his age. (Smart casting.) In the film, the “Star Trek” actor romances Jean Smart, who is 21 years his junior.

and

"The actor is also a prolific recording artist who’s finally gaining some acclaim for his strange blend of spoken word and song.

He worked with Ben Folds on his deeply personal 2004 album “Has Been” (Pitchfork called it “confusing, enthralling, sincere, profound”), and in October he dropped “William Shatner — The Blues,” which remarkably reached No. 1 on the Billboard blues chart.

He told The Post he’ll soon release a new album, his 13th, which is a collaboration with a New York poet."

He is still working and in the video below talks of and audience of 3500 the day the lockdown went into effect and the future.

I wonder if the theory of Relativity was bouncing around in his head then?

UNIQUE PLACE: DOLPHIN SHAPED ISLAND

Source

This dolphin-shaped island off the Amalfi Coast in Italy called Li Galli or Le Sirenuse.

From a post on  Pop Sugar:

"A dolphin-shaped island called Li Galli is a small, private archipelago made up of three atolls between Capri and Positano. The island is also known as Le Sirenuse because of its mythological background. It's believed that this is where Odysseus from Homer's Odyssey escaped the voices of the Sirens who would lure sailors to their death.

It wasn't until the 1920s when a Russian ballet dancer and choreographer named Léonide Massine bought the ancient Roman site, bringing it to its current fame.

Another acclaimed Russian dancer, Rudolf Nureyev, purchased Li Galli in 1988, nearly a decade after Massine's death. One of the villas Rudolf redecorated has been maintained since, complete with Turkish mosaics and tiles and lavish details.

Though the island has only been recently opened to the public, it mainly serves as a luxurious and private rental property for the extremely wealthy.

The resort features Nureyev's three-bedroom mansion, a ballroom-turned-villa, a chapel, an infinity saltwater pool, and more — all of which can be rented for a humble $60,400 (€55,000) to $164,800 (€150,000) a week. Though, prices could've even been raised since those figures were released in 2015."

INTERESTING VEGETABLE: TOMATO THAT LOOKS LIKE BASKETBALL PLAYER LARRY BIRD

Source

I guess this tomato that looks like basketball player Larry Bird has been making the internet rounds for over 6 months, but I  just came across it.

I am sort of seeing the resemblance by looking at both pictures.  I think I will look at farmer's markets this summer to see if I can find a tomato that looks like me.

UNIQUE PACKAGING: LOVELY NUTS SQUIRREL FACE PACKAGING

Photo: Source

Isn't this adorable?  In addition to the package design being unique, so it the story of how it came about.

Designer Daily indicates the designer posted:

" Constantin Bolimont, a Belarus graphic designer, published this design on Behance, the popular portfolio platform by Adobe. It played with the nut hoarding habit of squirrels to create a packaging that is both practical and playful. The wallnut seller mentioned above like it and bought the design."

Pop singer Britney Spears posted the above rare picture of herself with her two sons in a candid photo on Instagram and it already has over 1.8 million likes within 2 days.

As both boys, Sean 15, & Jayden.14,  are wearing masks you really can't see their faces but they are both taller than she is.

While not being the best picture, by the smile on her face and what she writes you can tell she is a proud mama of her sons.
