Aren't these adorable? They are the work of Japanese Stone Artist Akie Nakata. Some are so detailed they look like the actual creature they are made to represent, like the bird, owl and frog.
An article on Daily Shared indicates Akie is a self-taught artist that loved picking up stones as a child and has been making these creations since 2011.
She sometimes sells her adorable creations through a posting on Facebook and there are more pictures of her work on that page.
