La Pascualita – The Mexican Corpse Bride

Hello and welcome to Day 9 of Countdown to Halloween.

Today's tale is of  La Pascualita, also known as the "Mexican Corspe Bride" which is actually a bridal mannequin that has been in a bridal shop in Chihuahua, Mexico 1930.

She is known for her preserved corpse-like appearance and rumors circled that it was the owner's daughter who passed away on her wedding day after being bitten by a Black Widow spider.  The shop owner denied it but many of the locals believed it was true.

Of course. this had spurred rumors of it being haunted and even of a lovesick magician bringing her back to life and night and at night and she has shifted her position in the window and some have said they feel her gaze.

She is changed twice a week by the shop workers, but probably the creepiest account on Oddity Central is by shop worker that said she breaks into a sweat everything she goes near the mannequin and that the legs on it have varicose veins on them.

Wouldn't see any reason why that would be on a mannequin, But in the article on Oddity Central indicated the Museum of Hoaxes stated it would be impossible to embalm anyone to be preserved that well.

Below is also a video.
