Hello and welcome to day 22 of Countdown to Halloween.
Yesterday in the city I live in they had there Annual Zombie walk. The first year there was around 50 people and I had heard on the news they were expecting around 10,000 and from what we could see, it did look like there were more people downtown for this event than for the Annual 3 Rivers Festival.
We arrived too late to find any good parking spots, but did find the above video on Youtube to that shows the Zombie Walk and we were able to snap a few pics driving around.
Here are the pics:
Only a ghoul or two in front of the Embassy Theater, but as I indicated in my post yesterday, it is allegedly haunted by a phantom that the employees believe to be a former stage manager.
Dr, Jekyll, I presume?
A zombie with Starbucks on the right; guess if you are undead you still need to have that caffeine fix.
Looks like we have a dead bride and perhaps a werewolf here.
Not everyone wanted to be the undead today; some dressed up as superheroes and children dressed in cute costumes. Today was all about the love of Halloween.
This is one of several streets downtown that were blocked off and this is to show how big this event was. There is a stage set up on this one and the Zombie Survival Guide indicated there were 27 different events going on during the day, from getting made up as zombie down by the library to children's activities in the day a showing of "Rocky Horror" at the Botanical Conservatory
Again, just because you are a zombie, doesn't mean you don't want to show off your classic car so there was also a car show any it looked live several cars were passing out candy to the kids.
More of the classic cars and zombies
Getting a Dr. Suessical balloon had made at one of the events not just for kids, looks like Grandpa found his spirit animal and its name is Red Hat Lady Latex.
Thanks for checking in and be sure to check out the other participants of this year's Countdown to Halloween and the link below.
